(I waited for what seemed like an eternity to talk with Mary J. Blige. She was roughly three hours late to record this conversation. She showed up with a massive entourage, which only added irritation to the situation. I confess that I went into the interview with a BAD attitude. I love the girl, but I have a quirk about lateness and how it reads as hardcore disrespect to me. In the end, she had a good excuse, and I wound up feeling pleased that I toughed out the wait.
